Tax Investigations
When running a business you may be visited by tax and other government authorities that have rights to inspect your business records and premises and look into the conduct of your business.
The authorities might inspect your business for several reasons, e.g. to make enquiries about your tax or VAT returns and declarations. They might also inspect your business to monitor compliance with laws, such as the National Minimum Wage legislation.
Your business may also have been randomly selected for a particular inspection to make sure that the tax system is operating fairly and to discourage tax evasion.
