Robert Todd - Business Owner - Oxford, Oxfordshire
Davenports taking care of us has been pure medicine. As well as helping us cut our costs with accounting, they have been instrumental in improving our image, with, amongst many things, an amazing new website. New business followed with almost immediate effect. At no time has anything been beyond their capability with accounting, business advice. printing, contacts, and insurance etc. A real shot in the arm. I firmly recommend Davenports as an innovative company for the modern age with the integrity of the client at the forefront.

I look forward to continue doing business with them.

Anthony Morris - Director - Oxford, Oxfordshire
Jason and his team at Davenports designed and built the DragonStack Poker website recently. The prices were within our budget, and cheaper than anywhere else. The customer service was impeccable; Davenports were in constant contact regarding my requests and discovering my needs, even providing focus and understanding of my customer base. The pace of delivery was very surprising; within several hours of emailing website content I would receive a link with a draft page, with the requirements I set out already in place.
Davenports offer a range of products and services I intend to take advantage of in the future. If you want quick quality results, this is the company for you.
Sincere thanks to Jason and the web design team at Davenports!

Case Study: The Wynford

Davenport Web redesigned the website for this busy Reading-based bar. As staff need to add special offers, events and information frequently, Davenports added a CMS system to the site.
The Wynford Arms website was in desperate need of a redesign. The old site had browser compatability issues, used a design that did not reflect the style of the bar, and had to be updated by hand whenever content needed to be added, updated or deleted - meaning that updates were left to technically-minded members of staff only.
Davenports produced a unique design that reflects the image and ethos of the bar.
Integrating Davenport CMS into the site allows staff members to login to the site and add, remove and update offers, events, gallery images and even staff members.
Davenports manages the site’s hosting and email infrastructure also.

Case Study: Davenports

Davenport Web has just finished redesigning our very own corporate website. Here, we examine why the change was needed, the design decisions behind the change, and the outcome.
We’ll also be talking about a lot of the services that Davenport Web provide, so if you see anything that you’d like to see on your own website, get in touch.
Davenports has always been proud to offer accountancy, web and print & design to our clients in one centralized location. However, the company’s website structure simply didn’t reflect this - www.davenportenterprises.co.uk was for accountancy, www.davenportwebsitedesign.co.uk was for web and www.davenportprintanddesign.co.uk was for print & design.
Having these three websites confused our customers and reduced web traffic going to each of these sites.
We decided to unify under the Davenports name under the www.davenportenterprises.co.uk domain name, which had the highest traffic ranking.
From there, we designed a navigation structure that would emphasise the fact that there are three main services the company provides - making it obvious for visitors that all three are provided, but also that you can mix and match between the three as you choose.
Because there are three companies, we decided to dedicate the homepage to news, split into six features from the three companies - two features each, plus an individual latest news box for each company along with a company-wide special offers box.
News is going to be published frequently, and it would be a nightmare to have to keep the features and news boxes up to date manually, so we decided to use Davenport CMS to manage all the content we’re going to be publishing.
By assigning news into categories - e.g. Accountancy Features, Web Features, etc. - the website takes care of the hard work of working out what to display where, allowing less-technical members of the Davenports team to publish content, and increasing the amount of communication we can have through the website.
After making the decision, we used the company’s brand guidelines to create a look and feel consistent with the company’s image, and then set up hosting and email to support the site.
The result is what you see here. Please do leave a comment to let us know what you think of the new site!
