Security
Parts of the Davenports website process financial and personal information. To ensure maximum protection of your information, Davenports use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). This is the industry standard for securing internet transactions; it encrypts your personal information as it travels across the web so that it cannot be read by anyone except Davenports. It’s the same level of security used by Amazon and UK banks when you login to Internet Banking.
Davenports is registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office under the UK Data Protection Act 1998, which places the highest standards on how Davenports handles your data. For full information about how Davenports collects, uses, transfers and destroys your personal information, visit our Privacy Policy.

How Do I Know if I’m on a Secure Page?
Depending on your browser, there will be a couple of different ways you can tell your connection is secure. Firstly, most browsers will display ‘https’ in the address bar rather than ‘http’ - for example https://www.davenportenterprises.co.uk/accountancy/payroll/submit-your-p46. Secondly, some browsers will display a padlock symbol to indicate the security of the connection.
We have put together some screenshots of the most popular browsers running in secure mode for your reference. While these screenshots were taken on a Windows-based PC, the browser interface will be similar for Apple Mac OS and Linux-based browsers. If your browser is not listed, please refer to your browser manufacturer for more information.
