We do everything for them within the range of our services, and answer directly to their senior managers, sending through relevant weekly management reports for them to make decisions against and then we carry out the decisions made. Sole traders and small companies are generally still doing a lot of the work themselves, it may not save time but it could save money, so for the builders, electricians, cake decorators and smaller or start up businesses it’s the VAT, payroll, day to day bookkeeping plus a small website and small print runs they ask for help with as it’s the work they don’t feel comfortable with.

Small to medium sized businesses use us for VAT, payroll and day to day bookkeeping, end of year accounts and returns along with powerful websites packed with content, artwork design and large print runs. Many don’t need an Accountant but when they do we are often asked to prepare the books to be passed on to their Accountants and liaise with their Accountants too. Another very useful service we offer is credit control, with Davenport raising and sending out your invoices and then chasing payment in on your behalf. It tends to iron out the peaks and troughs in cash flow, so important to businesses on the move.
